Grid System as Backbone of Every Good Design Response

Grid systems have always helped me tremendously when creating artwork in 2d and digital forms. Since I am an organized and detail oriented person they definitely help me make sure my work looks balanced and even instead of offset and unproportioned. They give me a guideline and "set of rules" that keeps me on track but still allows me to have freedom when creating and designing. Reading and viewing the images about these various grid/column set-ups has already given me some inspiration on how I could set up my magazine interior. Each one has its own unique, organized structure that allows the text and images on the page to be proportioned and have a sense of harmony. I feel individuals tend to stay away from using grid systems, but they have so much meaning behind them and are incredibly useful when creating compositions.
