Assignment 4

For this assignment, I wanted to do a exploration of shapes among Toledo's campus, specifically within the architecture. I gathered footage from a few of the buildings and compiled them together into one arrangement. I thought it would be beneficial to introduce the building name before having a stand-still shot of it so potential viewers who are unfamiliar with the campus would be aware of what structure was being filmed. With some of the shapes I feel I am stating the obvious but with others, I wanted to place shapes that you would not necessarily think fit in the space. For example, in the Memorial Field House shot I placed a triangle on the door that is clearly a square/rectangular shape. However, in my mind, I can picture a different shape being placed/fitting there. Light blue was also used twice (second building & second to last building) to highlight shapes on the architecture because white was not visible and clearly seen. Although fairly simple (and I wanted to keep it that way due to the complexity of my previous assignments), I am pleased with the outcome of this exploration as it really forced me to look at the architecture in a more in depth manner.
