Character Transformation Examples

In this short transformation animation, I really enjoyed the actions that occur right before the character turns into an animal. The transitions were very seamless, clean, and good examples of the "in between" steps.

What I found most interesting in this animation was the use of negative space within the transformation period of the gif. This is something I had yet to see done before in a transformation so it caught my attention immediately.

In this example, each transformation occurs as the characters begin moving out of the frame and then come back into full appearance as a new character. It happens very quick, but I thought it was another interesting way to make transformations happen.
