Transformation Animation Storyboards

 

The first idea I have for my transformation animation is a caterpillar turning into a butterfly or perhaps an unexpected creature when it comes out of the chrysalis. A caterpillar will crawl into frame on a branch, fall over into a position where the chrysalis will start to form, it will then hatch and the butterfly will fly away (unless I pick something different to come out). The second idea is simply flowers growing from a pot, drooping, then dying as the petals fall off. This one seems maybe too simple for me so I am leaning more towards the butterfly transformation.
