2D Animation: Final Project

For my final animation titled, "The Phases of a Bubble," I wanted to expand off of my last walk cycle. Originally beginning as solely an average soap bubble, this character now transforms into bubble gum and a water bubble. The context it is surrounded by while walking through these various "worlds" allows the viewer to understand which type of bubble it is/has become. For example, as bubble gum the character walks through blown up bubble gum, chewed bubble gum pieces on the ground and is passed by a bubble gum machine. As a water bubble, the character is immersed by a coral reef landscape, bubbles and seashells. My intro/title scene incorporates all three bubble types/characters into it, as well as typography for the title. For the typography, I wanted it to have a bubble aesthetic and resemble all three bubbles from the animation (did this by using three colors). Two different audios were used, one for the title section and one for the rest of the animation. Each come from two completely different artists, so I did my best to make sure that they complemented one another and had a pleasing transition. In terms of the original first 12 seconds of the animation, I adjusted the direction and way the bubble comes out of the wand. I also made the background darker to help with the overall contrast of the scene. My animation is 4 seconds shorter than the requirements because I did not account for how long my title scene would be on top of the length of each section of animation that I wanted to keep consistent. Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome of this and look forward to putting it in my portfolio.

edits: ending (inflate noise) with bubbles from beginning, add more chewed pieces, shoe w/ gum?
